Beauty – Ulta Haul – Maybelline, Hada Labo, Tree hut
Last weekend, I did a little bit of shopping at Ulta. I was there, I had $3.50 off $10 coupon and so of course I had to pick something up.
This is how they get you.
Tree Hut Sugar Body Scrub in Tropical Mango – $8
EmilyNoel83 from Beauty Broadcast (Youtube) was talking about how she hauled this baby home and I thought yes I need that scrub too. It smells absolutely divine. You are getting a very, very large tub of body scrub. I don’t know if I will ever finish but I’m glad I have it.
Hada Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream – $24.99
I recently did a review of the Hada Labo line and I fell in love with the cream cleanser. I picked this up for my mother to try out. It is milky gel like texture. The downside I can see is that it comes in a very bulky packaging for 1.7 oz.
Maybelline Medicated Dr Rescue Baby Lips in Soothing Sorbet $4
Maybelline Electro Baby Lips in Strike a Rose $4
Everyone has been raving about baby lips and how it’s a great tinted lip balm. Well, I feel like I’ve tried every lip balm and chap stick known to mankind due to my parched lips. So for a long time I avoided these. Well Ulta was having a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale and they had new color range so I caved in. The medicated baby lips had a very minty smell/taste whereas the other one was more like candy flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It applied nicely with color and did provide moisture to my lips.
(Left – Soothing Sorbet, Right – Strike a Rose)
The product is smooth and when it was applied to my lips they do make them feel more moisturized. The color is brilliant! However, I wouldn’t recommend applying these without a mirror as they have bulkier tip and they are quite pigmented. I like the Strike a Rose color more as I felt it a juicier color. They are easy enough to pop into any purse or pocket. I will test them out more before I can give you the verdict on whether these are the answers to my chapped lip prayers.
